This is a specialised national-level conservation opportunity rather than a general environmental grant. Applicants should have credible experience working with community-led conservation, Indigenous Peoples and local communities, biodiversity governance or related areas and should be capable of coordinating stakeholders beyond a single project location. The selected organisation will play a catalytic role across Uganda’s ICCA-GSI portfolio, so competitive proposals should demonstrate strong facilitation, community engagement, monitoring and learning, mapping, policy engagement and institutional coordination capacity rather than focusing mainly on direct field implementation.
