This is a substantial climate-adaptation funding opportunity for experienced organisations and partnerships capable of delivering systemic change beyond isolated community interventions. The Fund prioritises innovative and scalable Ecosystem-based Adaptation approaches that can influence policies, strengthen institutions, mobilise investment and generate practical pathways for wider implementation. Applicants should demonstrate a strong understanding of climate risks, credible evidence from existing work, meaningful local ownership and clear sustainability beyond the grant period. Country-level projects must include eligible local partners receiving at least 25% of the project budget, while government entities may participate without receiving grant funds. Strong proposals should focus on removing specific barriers to scaling adaptation rather than presenting conventional conservation or standalone implementation activities.
