This is a strong opportunity for established local nonprofit organisations in Malawi with practical community-based environmental experience and at least three years of relevant work. Applicants should pay particular attention to the geographic restrictions because most projects must be implemented in Mzimba, Rumphi or Nkhata Bay, while Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe and Mzuzu are eligible specifically under the sustainable urban solutions initiative. Competitive proposals should connect measurable environmental benefits with community ownership, livelihoods, gender equality and social inclusion rather than treating conservation as a stand-alone technical activity.
