Requirements
- The applicant must be a feminist group, collective or organisation working in or across an eligible MENA country.
- Both registered and unregistered groups may apply.
- Individual applicants are generally not eligible; Doria funds collective feminist work.
- Applicants do not need to have received previous funding.
- Applicants do not need to have their own bank account; Doria may arrange safe transfer mechanisms case by case.
- There is no age limit for applicants or group members.
- Groups led by women and trans people are prioritised.
- Groups led solely by cisgender men are not eligible.
- Applicants must select the grant programme that best fits their needs: Core Funding, Project Funding or Knowledge Production Funding.
- The proposed work must align with feminist and gender justice priorities.
- Applications may be submitted in Arabic, English or French.
Application steps
- Review Doria Feminist Fund's eligibility criteria and Cycle 7 grant options.
- Confirm that the group is based in or working across an eligible MENA country.
- Choose the most appropriate grant stream: Core Funding, Project Funding or Knowledge Production Funding.
- Create or access an account on the Doria Feminist Fund grants portal.
- Complete the application form in Arabic, English or French.
- Describe the group's feminist work, constituency, priorities and proposed use of funding.
- Explain how the proposed work contributes to feminist movement building, gender justice or community-led change.
- Provide the organisational and project information requested in the application portal.
- Review the application carefully before submission.
- Submit the complete application by 19 October 2026.
Global Grants Hub strategic note
A strong and unusually accessible feminist funding opportunity for grassroots groups across the MENA region, including eligible African countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Somalia, Sudan and Tunisia. Doria is particularly welcoming to new, emerging and previously unfunded feminist groups and does not require formal registration or even a dedicated organisational bank account. Applicants should select the grant stream that genuinely matches their stage of development: emerging groups may be strongest candidates for flexible core support, while established groups can seek project funding and feminist knowledge actors can explore knowledge production support.
