This is a highly specialised fellowship for outstanding early-career postdoctoral researchers rather than a general environmental or NGO project grant. Applicants must secure nomination through an eligible academic or public research institution, and each institution may submit only one candidate. Strong proposals should demonstrate scientific originality, meaningful transdisciplinary collaboration and clear potential to inform policy and practice on responsible Nature-Based Solutions, particularly where climate resilience, ecological sustainability and social equity intersect. Researchers should confirm their PhD eligibility, employment status and institutional nomination arrangements early, paying particular attention to the 3 November institutional registration deadline and the 12 November Expression of Interest deadline. Civil society organisations may contribute as research partners but cannot serve as the funding host.
